Majid is a Food Scientist leading projects and partnerships for food, agriculture, bioenergy and industrial research at Brock University. He has a special interest in taking research to practice, and supporting the product commercialization process. Majid attained his BSc, MSc and PhD in Food Sciences through studies at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and Health Services, the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Guelph, accordingly.
Majid’s background in multicultural leadership, community development, cultural engagement as a musician and through his radio program are linked to his passion for enhancing both the economy and the community. While studying, he founded the University of Saskatchewan Persian Students’ Association, the Iranian Student Association at the University of Guelph, and was active in the City of Guelph Iranian-Canadian community. Currently, he serves on Niagara Region’s Agriculture Policy and Action Committee.
