Melenie NeamtzMelenie is a Program Coordinator at the Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre, providing vital settlement services to newcomers to Canada who are living in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Grimsby, Lincoln, and Welland. Her work focuses on engagement and inclusion of youth as they establish a rewarding life in their new country. She has a Sociology and Psychology degree from Nipissing University, and an Ontario Management Certificate from Niagara College.

Melenie is Vice-Chair of the Niagara Poverty Reduction Network and Past Chair of RAVA, Niagara’s Regional Association of Volunteer Administrators. She is active in YES Niagara (Youth plus Engagement Equals Success) and the Niagara Youth Engagement Community of Practice. She helped to establish the network of Shared Learning Local Hubs in 5 areas of Niagara, for front-line community service workers to share ideas and best practice information to support client success.
